Nice spot for an overnight stay. Easy in and out, large sites & roads and convenient to freeway. Entire campground is gravel and there appears to be nothing in the area to keep you there more than one night. We would definitely stay there again on our way through New Mexico.
Very nice for an overnight stay. The grounds are very well kept and have some nice touches in decoration around the office. I believe we were in site #5 and it was plenty large for a 40' motorhome with 4 slides towing a car. We were able to pull in without unhooking the toad. The cafe was a real plus! We didn't try the dinner but the cooked to order breakfast in the morning was really nice. The staff was also very nice. We will definitely stay here again while driving through Texas.
A nice place to stay while visiting San Antonio. Nothing fancy, but convenient to Riverwalk & The Alamo. We stayed in the area with shade trees which made the sites somewhat narrow but they were plenty long enough for a 40' motorhome & towed car. I'm sure in the hot weather the trade off is well worth it as some of the sites have no shade to speak of. We stayed here several years ago also and would stay here again.
We camped here using our RPI membership and the price was great. Also the proximity to the Battlefield & town of Gettysburg. However: (1) we made our reservation with another couple and asked to be put at least close together if possible at the time we made reservation. That didn't happen and apparently once your site is assigned there is no changing it. We asked upon checking in to be together and were told no even though there were empty sites all around each of us for the whole week. (2) The sites are extremely unlevel. We had to use several blocks to get level and even then could only do so by parking with the curbside of the motorhome right at the edge of the site with a huge boulder right next to the door. (3) The power during the week when the park was fairly empty was ok, but on the weekend with more people there we couldn't get any power to speak of. Forget any air conditioning & it got so bad at one point we couldn't even run a fan. We talked to one fellow camper who had no power the whole weekend and begged to be moved but was refused. (4) The staff wasn't as rude as I've seen in some other posts, but they were unfriendly. Even with the membership price we will not stay here again. I would rather pay full price and get a decent spot with friendly staff.
This is one of the nicest KOA's we have seen lately. Like previous posts, it is pricey, but so is everyting else in this area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient to Niagara Falls & restaruants in the area. We didn't have children with us, but there were several nice playgrounds & activities for kids. We would stay here again.
